The Asia Pacific Legal Institute's highly acclaimed
annual Summer Intellectual Property Training Program will be held in
this new millennium. APLI is proud to collaborate with the George Washington
University Intellectual Property Law Program , the and the University of Washington
Office of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer.
In addition to a balanced and yet in-depth discussions on the most pressing
issues and challenges in intellectual property, this year's program
will also emphasize the licensing of intellectual property (such as
technology transfer). Students will have the opportunity to meet
face to face and engage in lively discussions with leading experts in
the field.
The APLI especially wishes to express its gratitude
to the relentless support from the following individuals: Professors
Martin J.
Adelman of the George Washington University Law School and the Honorable
Randall
R. Rader, Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for
the Federal Circuit.
In addition to the traditional (core) program, this year's curricular
will broaden the scope and depth of our coverage with a visit to the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts and
a full-fledge nuts and bolts courses on licensing in technology transfer.
This year's program is also fully integrated with the Inter-discipline
Training Program for Senior Personnel on Technology Management,
commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan and executed
by the Graduate Institute
of Technology and Innovation Management, the National Chengchi University of Taipei, Taiwan.
